Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. They was moved to Oxfordshire at the age of five years old and attended the Dragon School. Emma's ambition was to become an actor. At the age of 6she was enrolled into the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch and took lessons in acting, singing and dancing. Her performances had been in several Stagecoach or school shows when she turned ten. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was found by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been selected for the characters. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's debut film coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It was the highest-grossing film of 2001 The film broke records for its opening day opening and the opening weekend's earnings. Critics gave high praise to the film, and especially the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance.
