Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is famous Indian actress who is famous for her parts in the film Hum Aapke Koun. She first began her career acting during the 80s. Her fame was boosted by the movie Tezaab with veteran actor Anil Kooor. The next film she appeared in was Dil which she was on screen with Aamir. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she started learning dance at an early age. When she was young, she started acting but had a difficult time as a majority of her movies were unsuccessful. Eventually she became one the most famous actresses in Indian films. After her wedding ceremony, she took a brief absence from acting before returning. She played a major role on Gulaab Gang, a film focused on women's struggles in India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. In addition, she is recognized for her charity work.
